How to make money from your wardrobe. Yes it is possible….

Call it what you will but ……the pre loved, second hand, “give new life to your clothes” fashion movement is hitting Australia’s shores with a vengeance and here to stay.

With interest rates rising and cost of living out of control, I encourage you to get on board. Edit your wardrobe, sell your clothes and make some money. But more importantly, the garments you edit get a second life and saved from landfill reducing the 800,000 tonnes of clothing and textiles discarded by Australians each year. 90% of which ends up in landfill.

Why join the movement?

One of the best things about editing your wardrobe is that you can make money. If you have a wardrobe full of clothes that you no longer wear, don’t fit or have the tags still on ( you know the ones!), get selling. Once edited, your wardrobe is a much more organised and calmer space. You can see your clothes clearly, which in turn makes you wear more of your clothes, buy less and practice sustainability. Win win in my eyes.

Options:

There are so many great options in Sydney in store and online to sell your clothes. However, my favourite, at the moment, is VENLA due to the rent-a-rack concept and the fact that I don’t have to load up any photos which is a life saver for my creative soul ( read non-tech self!). A self-service secondhand fashion store making it possible for anyone to monetise their preloved fashion items and sell them in one of their Sydney stores in an easy and convenient way aswell as buy pre loved too.

VENLA’s mission is to encourage consumers to recycle and resell their quality preloved clothing, shoes and accessories and save from landfill. www.venla.com.au

The benefits for SELLERS, you can look forward to:

●      Making extra cash

●      Decluttering your wardrobes and selling dozens of items together, quickly and easily

●      Making a positive impact on the environment

●      Supporting local women’s charities by choosing to leave some garments to VENLA’s Charity Rack, with proceeds donated to charities

The benefits for BUYERS, is the store looks and feels like a quality retail outlet, stocked with designer and high end brands with affordable prices. So you can look forward to:

●      Saving money

●      Discovering new stock in stores every day

●      Slowing your fashion choices down

●      Discovering quirky, past and even current season fashion finds that nobody else is wearing
