5 most common items, a wardrobe stylist, finds missing from wardrobes.

After 100’s of wardrobe edits, below are the 5 most common items I find MISSING from my client’s wardrobes. Once bought, they bring all their outfits together and allow for easy mix and match and style elevation.

1 A good BRA with adjustable straps

Why is this important? Check your straps ladies, we want them tight to create as much space between our bust and tummy. All your clothes will sit and look better with this simple tip.

2  Basic T-shirts or base layers

Yes, far too many fabulous tops and trousers but where are the basic tshirts? Mulitple colours and styles help create a base layer to show off all your  fab clothes. Remember to choose the neckline that suits you best.  V neck is always a winner.

3 Chunky Sandals/Sneakers

Get rid of the flat flats  (unless wearing with long dresses). We are wearing more shorts, wide leg linen trousers and co-ords in Spring … so you need to balance your shoulders, hips and feet! Chunky soled sandals do this - same goes with sneakers. Platform it up ladies!

4 Evening Clutch - up to date

No not the one you got free from Lancome 10yrs ago! To start with choose black with hint of silver or gold and oversized to balance and bring your outfit up to date.

5  Modern Style Blazer

I often see lots of blazers in wardrobes but to modernise your look, we need to update the style and cut of the blazer. Currently a boyfriend blazer is in style, loose and hitting just below the hips. Lightweight and  moveable fabric is ideal.
